If you own a Visa card, before you head out on your next shopping trip, or book your next vacation, check the visaperks.ca website. There are some great savings to be had with coupon vouchers for in-store use and coupon codes for online shopping. Some good deal examples we found include; $50 off each nights stay at participating Fairmont hotels, Canadian Family 1 year subscription for only $10 (70% savings), $10 off $50 at Gap stores, and buy one, get one FREE waffle cones at Baskin Robins. Definitely worth a quick search of their site for these savings!

Here's a fun freebie for the little guys! Pottery Barn in Canada has FREE Book Club Story Times every Tuesday from 11am - 11:30am, but on August 31st and September 7th they'll be having a special Batman story time. Their site states there will be giveaways, activities and lots of great stories to celebrate the Caped Crusader. Check your local store for details.

Calling all Hello Kitty fans! This weekend, August 21st - 22nd, head to your local Build-a-Bear store for a Sanrio Friends sneak peek event and get 2 FREE Sanrio tiny clips when you build a new Sanrio collection friend. You must RSVP to this event in order to get your FREE clips. If you're planning on going and building, here's a $5 off coupon (must purchase $25 or more). I've always loved Hello Kitty and remember my huge puffy sticker collection from when I was a kid (slightly cheaper than the Build-a-Bear, but hours of fun trading with my friends!).

It's mini donut and ice cream waffle time and it's hard to believe it's that time of year already! The PNE in Vancouver runs August 21st - September 6th. On Sunday, August 22 admission is FREE from 9am-noon. You can also get ticket deals by purchasing online. It's their 100th anniversary so they've crammed their FREE concert line up with great acts and there should be lots of extra celebrating. The Ex in Toronto runs August 20th - September 6th and they have a special $8 admission for opening day. If you purchase your admission or ride all day pass online before the 20th, you can save up to 31%. On Mondays kids under 13 get in for $2 (must be accompanied by paying adult).
