We also like to share money-saving tips, info on free shipping, and news of sample/warehouse sales and events to help make your time and dollar stretch as far as possible. And we even throw in some contests and giveaways from time to time to make life fun and exciting!

How it started
Mother of a Deal was started in 2007, by smart and savvy shopper Danielle Connelly, as an outlet to share her deal hunting with her friends. Mother of a Deal was acquired in February 2013 by Heather Corbett who is proud to become the new ‘Mother of a Deal’.
About Heather Corbett – Chief Deal Hunter (aka Mother of a Deal)
I’m a Canadian mom with 2 young boys, 1 cat, 1 puppy and come from a BIG family. From an early age I was taught how to be a smart shopper by my Mother and Grandmother and I have many a fond memory of embarking on deal hunting and comparison shopping trips with them. Now as a mom myself of energetic boys, who seem to grow out of clothes within weeks, eat more than I can keep up with, and have busy active lives, finding the best deals and saving myself time and money just seems like the natural thing to do. I love taking every opportunity to pass on my knowledge and tips to my kids (“We’re only buying cereal that’s on sale!”), and I look forward to doing so with you too!
Along with running Mother of a Deal, I’m also an Events Specialist and co-owner of Evenate Creative Group Inc., a small design and events company based out of New Westminster, BC, which I run with my husband (who is often seen on a Saturday, coffee in hand, hunting through the weekly flyers for the best deals).
